Ajman Museum

This fascinating museum was opened in a picturesque eighteenth century fort that was the Ruler’s palace until 1970. Located in the town centre, just 10 minutes from Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Ajman, the museum houses a fascinating collection of archaeological artefacts, manuscripts, old weapons and reconstructions of traditional Arabian life.

Dhow Yard

5 minutes from Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Ajman, the Dhow Yard in Ajman is the largest dhow-building centre in the world. Dhows are traditional Arab boats built by hand using traditional tools and are still made using the same techniques handed down through generations. The Dhow Yard in Ajman also manufactures the racing dhows that participate in the Dubai Powerboat races.

Mowaihat

Mowaihat is an archaeological site located on the outskirts of Ajman, 20 minutes from Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Ajman. Dating back to the Umm Al-Nar occupation of the Northern Emirates, since its discovery in 1986, this archaeological site has revealed numerous examples of soft-stone and hand-painted ancient ceramic vessels and other artefacts, many of which are on display in Ajman Museum.
